We do not collect: your date of birth, your Social Insurance Number, your driver's licence number, or any financial information beyond what is required to process a payment. If a form or a member of staff ever asks you for something you don't understand the reason for, please ask us why. You're entitled to an answer.
We only collect personal information for purposes a reasonable person would consider appropriate. Specifically:
| Purpose | What it means in practice |
|---|---|
| To provide the service | Booking your appointment, diagnosing your vehicle, ordering the right parts |
| To contact you | Calling with an estimate, telling you the vehicle is ready, following up on a repair |
| To keep service records | Knowing what we did last time, honouring a parts warranty, spotting a recurring fault |
| To take payment | Processing your invoice |
| To meet legal obligations | Tax records, warranty claims, safety documentation |
| To improve the shop | Understanding which services people need and how they found us |
We will not use your information for anything else without asking you first.
By giving us your information, on the website form, over the phone, or in person, you consent to us using it for the purposes above.
Marketing is separate and always optional. We will only send you service reminders, promotions or newsletters if you have specifically agreed to receive them, in line with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). Every message we send will include a way to unsubscribe, and unsubscribing will never affect the service you receive.
You can withdraw consent at any time by calling 204-219-9994 or emailing info@bezalelautogarage.ca. Note that if you withdraw consent for the information we need to service your vehicle, we may not be able to continue providing that service. Some records we are legally required to retain regardless (see section 7).
We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent it, and we do not trade it.
We share it only where it's necessary to do the job:
Everyone we share information with is expected to protect it to the same standard we do.
