Getting Started

Do I need an appointment, or can I just drop in?
Walk-ins are welcome and we'll always try to help. But booking ahead means we've got a bay and a technician ready for you, so you're not waiting. Call 204-219-9994 or use the booking form.
Where exactly are you?
975 Cottonwood Road, Winnipeg, MB R2J 1G3 . In St. Vital, easy to reach from Bishop Grandin Boulevard, St. Anne's Road and St. Mary's Road. Free parking on site.
What are your hours?
Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and Saturday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. We're closed Sundays.
Do you work on my make of vehicle?
Almost certainly. We service all makes and models, domestic and import cars, SUVs, minivans and light trucks. If there's something we can't take on, we'll tell you straight and point you to someone who can.

Pricing & Estimates

Will you give me an estimate before doing the work?
Always. You get a written estimate covering parts, labour and the total before we start. If we find something else once we're in there, we stop and call you. You will never see a charge on your invoice that you didn't approve first.
Are estimates free?
Yes. Quoting a job costs you nothing. Full diagnostic work, where we're tracing an intermittent fault or a check engine light, has a fee, and that's free when you go ahead with the repair.
How much does an oil change cost?
It depends on your vehicle and whether you're on conventional, synthetic blend or full synthetic. Call with your year, make and model and we'll give you an exact number over the phone. Every oil change includes a free multi-point inspection.
What payment methods do you accept?
Cash, debit, Visa, Mastercard, e-transfer.

Trust & Quality

How do I know I'm not being upsold?
Because we'll show you. We'll bring you into the bay and point at the worn part, or send a photo to your phone. And if something can safely wait, we'll say so, we'd rather have your business for ten years than get an extra $200 out of you today.
Do you offer a warranty?
Every part we install carries the manufacturer's or supplier's warranty for that specific part, some are twelve months, some longer, some shorter. We'll tell you exactly what applies on your estimate before you approve the work. If something we installed fails within its warranty period, bring the vehicle back.
Do you use original manufacturer parts?
We use OEM parts where they matter and high-quality aftermarket where they're genuinely equivalent, and we'll tell you which we're proposing and why before you approve the work. If you'd prefer OEM throughout, just say so.
Are your technicians certified?
Yes.

Services

My check engine light is on. Is it serious?
It might be minor or it might be significant. The light alone doesn't tell you. If it's flashing, stop driving and call us today, because that usually indicates a misfire that can damage your catalytic converter. If it's solid, book a diagnostic soon. We'll scan it, trace the actual cause and tell you what it means.
How often should I change my oil?
Most modern vehicles on full synthetic go 8,000 to 12,000 km. Conventional oil, or a lot of short trips and cold-weather idling, means more like 5,000 to 8,000 km. Winnipeg driving is harder on oil than most manuals assume, tell us how you actually drive and we'll give you a real interval.
When should I get winter tires put on?
Book for October. The rule is temperature, not snow: below about 7°C, all-season rubber hardens and loses grip. Every shop in the city is overwhelmed the week after the first real snowfall, so book early and skip the queue.
Do you offer the MPI Winter Tire Program?
Check with us directly, we'll confirm whether we're a participating retailer and, if not, point you to MPI's website to check eligibility.
Can you do a Manitoba safety inspection certificate?
Only MPI-authorized inspection stations can issue a Certificate of Inspection. Call us to confirm our current accreditation status, either way, we can do a thorough pre-inspection so you know your vehicle will pass before you pay for the certificate.
Do you do pre-purchase inspections?
Yes, and it's some of the best money you'll spend on a used vehicle. We go over it thoroughly and give you a written report of what's good, what's worn and what it'll cost to put right, which is also a very effective negotiating tool.
How long will my repair take?
An oil change is usually under an hour. Brakes are typically two to three hours. Bigger mechanical work can run a day or more, especially if a part needs ordering. We'll give you a realistic timeline with your estimate and call you if anything changes.
My brakes are squealing. How urgent is it?
Squealing usually means the wear indicator is doing exactly what it's designed to do. Book in this week. Grinding is different: that's metal on metal, it's damaging your rotors with every stop, and it needs looking at immediately. Call us.

Practical

Do you have a waiting area?
Yes. A comfortable spot to wait. For shorter jobs like oil changes, most people wait.
Can I drop my vehicle off and come back?
Absolutely. Drop it off in the morning and we'll call you when it's ready.
Do you do towing?
Call us and we can recommend a reliable local tow service and get you straight in once you arrive.
Can you service my company's vehicles?
Yes. If you run two or more vehicles for your business, call us about fleet servicing, priority scheduling, consolidated invoicing and rates that reflect the volume.
What if I'm not happy with the work?
Tell us. Call 204-219-9994 or come in and ask for the owner. If we got something wrong, we'll make it right, that's what the warranty is for, and it's the whole reason we opened this shop.
