These terms apply to the use of our website and to any service performed by Bezalel Auto Garage ("we," "us," "our") at 975 Cottonwood Road, Winnipeg, Manitoba.
By booking a service, dropping off a vehicle or using this website, you agree to these terms. Please read them. They're written to be understood, not to hide anything.
1. About Us
Bezalel Auto Garage is an independent automotive repair business operating at 975 Cottonwood Road, Winnipeg, MB R2J 1G3.
2. Using This Website
The information on this site is provided in good faith and for general guidance. We keep it as accurate as we can, but:
- Prices, offers and service descriptions may change without notice
- General automotive advice on this site is not a diagnosis. Every vehicle is different. Nothing here replaces having your specific vehicle inspected.
- Do not rely on this website for a safety decision. If you think your vehicle may be unsafe to drive, call us at 204-219-9994 or contact a qualified mechanic in person.
You may not use this site unlawfully, attempt to interfere with it, or copy its content for commercial purposes without permission.
3. Bookings and Appointments
- Submitting the booking form is a request, not a confirmed appointment. We'll contact you to confirm a time.
- We aim to respond to booking requests within one business day.
- Please let us know as early as you reasonably can if you need to cancel or reschedule.
- Walk-ins are welcome, but customers with appointments are served first.
- Estimated completion times are estimates. Parts availability, a fault that turns out to be more involved than it first appeared, or the workload in the shop can all affect timing. We'll keep you informed.
4. Estimates and Authorization
This section matters more than any other, so we've set it out plainly.
- You will receive an estimate before any work begins. It will set out the parts, the labour and the total.
- No work starts until you authorize it , in person, by phone, or in writing.
- If we find additional work is needed, we stop and contact you. We will not carry out unauthorized work and then invoice you for it.
- An estimate is an estimate. Once we're into a job, the actual cost can differ from the initial figure, a seized bolt, a part that's failed behind the one we could see, a price change from the supplier. If the cost is going to exceed the estimate by more than a minor amount, we will contact you and get your approval before continuing.
- Diagnostic work may be charged separately. Where a diagnostic fee applies, we'll tell you before we begin. Our current promotion waives the diagnostic fee where you proceed with the resulting repair.
- Declined work. If we identify a safety concern and you choose not to have it repaired, we'll note that on your work order. You remain responsible for your decision about your vehicle.
5. Pricing and Payment
- All prices are in Canadian dollars and exclude applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
- Payment is due on completion, before the vehicle is released.
- We accept cash, debit, Visa, Mastercard, and e-transfer.
- Parts, shop supplies and environmental or disposal fees may appear as separate line items on your invoice. They'll be visible on your estimate too.
- We may require a deposit on special-order parts or on larger jobs. Deposits on non-returnable special-order parts may be non-refundable. We'll tell you clearly if that applies before you pay.
6. Warranty
Parts. Parts we install are covered by the manufacturer's or supplier's warranty for that specific part. Warranty periods differ from part to part, some are twelve months, some are longer, some are shorter. We will tell you the warranty that applies to the specific parts on your estimate before you approve the work. Just ask.
If a part we installed fails within its warranty period, bring the vehicle back. We'll verify the failure and process the warranty claim with the supplier on your behalf, and the replacement part will be supplied at no cost to you under the terms of that warranty.
Labour. Labour to remove and reinstall a warranty replacement part is not automatically included and may be charged separately. We'll be upfront with you about this at the time. Where a part failure is clearly attributable to our installation rather than the part itself, we'll put it right at no charge, that's on us, not on you.
What warranties don't cover:
- Normal wear and tear
- Damage from an accident, misuse, neglect, or continuing to drive with a known fault
- Parts supplied by the customer (see section 7)
- Work performed by someone else after we returned the vehicle
- Consequential losses, for example towing, a rental car, or lost income
Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under Manitoba's consumer protection legislation.
7. Customer-Supplied Parts
We may, at our discretion, install parts you supply. If we do:
- We provide no warranty of any kind on that part, and none on the labour to install it
- If the part is faulty, the wrong specification, or fails, the labour to remove and replace it is chargeable
- We may decline to install a customer-supplied part where we consider it unsafe or unsuitable, and we'll explain why
8. Your Vehicle and Your Belongings
- Please remove valuables and personal items before leaving your vehicle with us. We are not responsible for personal property left in a vehicle.
- We may need to road-test your vehicle to diagnose a fault or verify a repair. By authorizing work, you authorize that road test.
- Your vehicle must be legally registered and insured. You confirm you are the owner, or that you have the owner's authority to have the work done.
- We keep the premises secure, but vehicles are left at your own risk except where loss or damage results from our negligence.
9. Collection, Storage and Unclaimed Vehicles
- Please collect your vehicle promptly once we tell you it's ready.
- Vehicles left more than [number] days after completion and notification may incur a storage fee of $[storage fee] per day.
- Where an invoice remains unpaid, we may exercise a repairer's lien over the vehicle in accordance with Manitoba law.
- Vehicles that remain unclaimed may be disposed of in accordance with the applicable Manitoba legislation, after the notice period that legislation requires.
10. Promotional Offers
- Offers are valid only for the period stated and while they remain advertised.
- Unless we say otherwise, offers cannot be combined with each other.
- "New customer" offers apply to a customer's first paid service with us.
- Discounts apply to the service specified and not to taxes, shop supplies, or environmental fees.
- We reserve the right to change or withdraw an offer, though we will honour any offer already applied to a confirmed booking.
- Referral credits are applied after the referred customer's first service has been completed and paid.
11. Cancellation and No-Shows
- There is no charge to cancel or reschedule an appointment.
- We do ask for as much notice as you can reasonably give, so we can offer the slot to someone else.
- Where we have special-ordered a non-returnable part for you and you then cancel, the cost of that part may be chargeable.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Manitoba law:
- Our total liability arising from any service is limited to the amount you paid us for that service.
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost income, towing costs, rental vehicles, missed appointments, or inconvenience.
- We are not liable for pre-existing faults or conditions we were not engaged to inspect or repair.
Nothing in this section excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected.
13. Privacy
Our handling of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
14. Intellectual Property
The content of this website, text, layout, graphics and the Bezalel Auto Garage name and logo. Belongs to us. You may not reproduce it commercially without our written permission.
15. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Manitoba and the applicable laws of Canada. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Manitoba.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version in effect is the one published on this page at the time of your booking. Material changes will be noted here.
